Job Title:                   System Administrator

Reporting to:           Technical Operations Manager



The Role

The Moorwand Technical Operations Team role is central for managing internal systems and partner integrations, third party system set up, data delivery and monitoring systems. The team ensure complete oversite of third party technical functions, and any impact on the business, our clients and their customers


The Technical Operations Team are the point of contact between the business and the infrastructure and development provider to ensure technical stability, operability and compliance with scheme and regulatory controls. They are also responsible for requirements gathering within the business, prioritization of development activities, testing of development and new features and ensure that production dates meet business expectations


The team are responsible for incident management and escalation within the business to ensure impact and criticality are clearly defined and reported as required. Technical Operations are also responsible for Information Communication Technology in line with regulatory requirements


System Administrator is expected to help the team with the day-to-day operations, while working with little or no supervision of the more senior colleagues. Contribution to business process development and improvement initiatives, and mentorship are preferred




  • Moorwand is an established UK based EMI, headquartered in London
  • We operate a hybrid working policy, expecting two days per week in the office
  • Due to the nature of the role, it is likely that occasional travel in the UK and Europe may be necessary conduct onsite client reviews



Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the IT infrastructure, and its security
  • Jointly own the IT Policy
  • Manage and maintain the company-owned devices
  • Administrate the systems used
  • Support internal customers
  • Liaise with technical partners



Skill and Experience

  • Strong communication skills with fluent written and spoken English
  • University degree in Computer Science or similar field, or a proven work record as a system administrator
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and Asana, or their alternatives is preferred
  • Experience with cloud computing (Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS, etc.), VPN, remote access/desktop, Active Directory, SFTP, and database management systems is a plus
